Volunteering with People to Places is a meaningful way to give back to your community and make a real difference in the lives of others. From helping someone get to a medical appointment to supporting their weekly shopping trip, our volunteers make everyday journeys possible for those who would otherwise face significant barriers.
But volunteering isn’t just about being out on the road—there are many ways to support our work. We also welcome help behind the scenes, whether that’s assisting in our office with administrative tasks, helping to coordinate bookings, supporting events, or lending your skills to specific projects.
Whether you can spare a few hours occasionally or are able to commit to a regular day each week, we’d love to hear from you. We currently have several volunteer opportunities listed below, but even if you don’t see a role that fits your availability or interests, we are always happy to speak to anyone interested in getting involved. We value enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to help just as much as specific experience.

Volunteer Minibus Driver
As a Volunteer Minibus Driver, you’ll play a vital role in providing essential transportation services to residents in the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead who face mobility challenges. By joining our team of dedicated volunteers, you’ll enable our buses to hit the road more frequently
Volunteer Car Drivers
As a volunteer car driver you will be helping our members who do not require wheelchair access to get out and helping us make our Community Transport service accessible to more people in the borough.
Events Co-ordinator
As a Volunteer Events Co-ordinator at People to Places, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission by helping to spread the word in the community to continue providing transportation services to those in need. Your efforts will directly contribute to improving the lives of vulnerable individuals in our community.
Fundraiser
As a Volunteer Fundraiser at People to Places, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission by helping us raise funds to continue providing transportation services to those in need. Your efforts will directly contribute to improving the lives of vulnerable individuals in our community.
Shopmobility Cover
Working at our Maidenhead and Windsor Shopmobility sites, you will ensure our facilities are effectively manned and are opened up and securely locked at the end of the day.
