Door-to-Department Transport for Hospital Appointments
Our Hospital Transport Service supports individuals with limited mobility, both within and outside the
Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, who need a safe and reliable way to attend hospital or
clinic appointments.
This door-to-department service ensures that you are:
- Collected from your home (or another agreed location),
- Transported safely and comfortably to your hospital or clinic,
- Accompanied to the reception desk of the specific department you’re visiting,
- Handed over to clinical staff on arrival.
It’s a more personal and caring alternative to a taxi service, focused on helping you get to where you need to be — safely and on time.
Where We Travel
We currently offer transport to:
- Wexham Park Hospital, Slough
- Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading
- Heatherwood Hospital, Ascot
- St Mark’s Hospital, Maidenhead
- The Princess Margaret Hospital, Windsor
- Upton Hospital, Slough
- King Edward VII Hospital, Windsor
- Bracknell Healthspace, Bracknell
Requests for other hospitals will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Please note: Journeys to GP surgeries, pharmacies, and other local health services continue to be provided through our Dial-a-Ride service.

- Available Monday to Saturday
- Peak Hours: 6:00am – 10:00am and 3:00pm – 7:00pm
- Off-Peak Hours: 10:00am – 3:00pm

Waiting time is charged separately and will be quoted at the time of booking.

- Demand for accessible, caring transport is growing, particularly as local services change and more appointments are held across different hospital sites.
This service bridges the gap — offering safe, reliable and personal transport that ensures you arrive where you need to be, on time and in the care of trusted drivers.
