Our Services in Windsor and Maidenhead

Shopmobility provides mobility scooters, powered wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs, and other mobility equipment to anyone with limited mobility.

Whether you’re a resident or a visitor, regardless of age or specific needs, we can supply the right equipment to help you move around more comfortably and confidently.

Membership Benefits

Residents of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead can join Shopmobility as members, giving access to mobility equipment at reduced rates. Membership also includes free parking while using the service.

As a member, you pay an annual membership fee, plus a £3 weekly hire fee for unlimited use of a mobility scooter. The weekly fee is only charged on the first day you use a scooter during the week—and there’s no charge for weeks when you don’t use the service. A week runs from Monday to Saturday.

Non-members are also welcome, with day and extended hire options available at standard rates.

Shopmobility Windsor

Located beside the scenic Alexandra Gardens, our Windsor site features an accessible car park, free for all Shopmobility users and within easy reach of the town centre.

Our equipment makes navigating Windsor’s slopes and cobbled streets much easier—whether you’re heading towards the castle or enjoying the charm of the high street.

Shopmobility Maidenhead

Our Maidenhead service is based in the Nicholson’s Shopping Centre, right in the heart of the town. It’s an ideal starting point for shopping, dining, or simply exploring Maidenhead at your own pace.

Booking for Visitors & Non-Members

You can reserve equipment online through our easy-to-use booking system.

If you’re visiting for the first time, please allow at least 15 minutes to register and receive a short equipment induction to ensure safe and confident use.

Please bring photo ID—such as a driving licence or passport—along with proof of address.

Non-Member Prices

Day and extended hire are available at both Windsor and Maidenhead locations for residents and visitors alike:

• Manual wheelchair hire: from £10 per day
• Mobility scooter hire: from £20 per day

Shopmobility Extended Hire Service

Travelling away from home and need mobility support? Our extended hire service lets you take mobility equipment anywhere within the UK—ideal for holidays, visiting family, or short breaks.

We offer manual wheelchairs and mobility scooters for extended hire from both our Windsor and Maidenhead locations. Some of our scooters are designed to fold down and fit easily into the boot of a family car, making transport simple and convenient.
