Our Supporters

Here at People to Places, we have many supporters that have helped us fund essential assets and projects for the local community. We are very grateful for the continued support we get from our supporters and we continue to welcome more on board in the future. Our corporate supporters and local supporters have helped raise important funds over the years to ensure that we can continue to deliver independence and tackle isolation within the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. Without this essential funding and support, we wouldn’t be able to provide such an essential service to our local community. By becoming a supporter of People to Places, you are effectively becoming a supporter of your local community. Using People to Places to channel your support to the individuals who need it the most and providing them with the essential transport they need to live a less lonely and more independent lifestyle.

Supporting your community through People to Places

Meet our supporters

Get to know a little bit more about some of our supporters and how they have helped People to Places become the charity we are today. Some of our supporters have been with us for years and others have newly joined and we are so grateful to all of them.

Berkshire Ltd

All Waste Berkshire is a family run business that has been in the waste disposal and recycling business for over 30 years. They offer their customers a friendly and reliable skip hire service and are committed to protecting our environment by recycling over 80% of materials that pass through our plant. We are an Environment Agency registered recycling company.

Allwaste Berkshire Ltd has recently joined in sponsoring People to Places with their advert on one of our minibuses. They have played a key role in supporting our new venture and design of minibuses and have been amazing to work with.

The Louis Baylis Charitable Trust

The Louis Baylis Charitable Trust distributes grants worth a total of more than £100,000 to more than 100 recipients each year and has a policy of distributing the majority of the grants to local organisations and charities, the balance going to regional and national organisations.

Louis Baylis has been a huge supporter over the years, granting us funds that have enabled us to enhance our services even further and supporting People to Places during the pandemic.

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Council has been a huge support for People to PLaces over the years, and whilst we are an independent charity, not linked to our local council, they do offer People to Places a huge amount of support. RBWM has funded many home-to-school journeys over the years and also supports our local community by giving eligible applicants a ‘travel pot’ of money to subsidise the costs for them.

Not only are they a financial supporter but they are also a great friend to People to Places and are always supporting us well in our future plans too.

Seiko U.K Limited

Seiko UK Ltd. manufactures and sells watches and electronical products. The Company produces and sells watches, guitar turners, and metronomes. Seiko also produces and sells handheld dictionaries, spellcheckers, and thesauruses. Seiko offers these worldwide.

Seiko has been a huge support over the years as they have kindly donated part of their UK Office in Maidenhead for People to Places to use.

Hitachi has very kindly over the years given our members a Christmas party to remember. Now events like this may seem like a luxury and to some degree they are, but to our members, these have been everything to them. It gave our members the rare opportunity to socially interact with like minded individuals and become part of the People to Places community, making friends for life!

From using the Hitachi office restaurant space to providing the full buffet and compliments to even arranging some beautiful raffle prizes, making these a Christmas party to cherish!

(Community Transport Association)

The Community Transport Association is a national charity that represents and supports these organisations: thousands of charities, community groups, schools, and other organisations, who all provide transport services that fulfill a social purpose and community benefit.

We have been supported over many years with the CTA and they continue to offer and advise People to Places to build a better future for our charity and our members.
