Gifts in Will

Writing a will is a great way to plan for your family and loved ones future, and by leaving a gift to People to Places, you can also help us to tackle isolation and deliver independence to our local community.

What are the benefits to including a gift in my will?

While the main purpose of a will is to ensure your estate reaches the right people, it can also enable you to protect your estate in certain ways and provides the opportunity to review your current tax position.

How do I include a gift in my will?

We advise you to have your Will written by a solicitor or professional will writing service to prevent any future legal issues. During this process they will be able to advise you of the different types of ‘Gifts’ that you can leave to your charity of choice and they will also advise of the legal terminology need in the Will. You will then need to know the charity number and head office address to complete it.

Who is the best person to help me write my Will?

A solicitor or professional will writer will provide the best service for you. There are many local companies within the Royal Borough that you may find as the right fit for you.
